Sho Ito
AA Dipl, ARB
Sho is a registered Architect and academic. He established the practice Studio ITO, following extensive experience working for London-based, Stirling Prize winner Rogers Stirk Harbour, dRMM and AHMM. His experience spans from education, residential and commercial projects in the office, with a focus on sculpting geometrically beautiful spaces that redefines new living formats.
Sho is ethnically Japanese, grew up in Melbourne and graduated from the Architectural Association, with the Norman Foster Prize in London. He has previously taught at the University of Cambridge and currently teaching at the Architectural Association School of Architecture as a First Year Studio Master and ETS Design Thesis Tutor for the MArch programme and running a BArch 2nd Year Design Studio at University of Westminster as a Design Studio Master

His work is featured in various publications including the Architectural Review, Architectural Journal and Blue Print, whilst invited to give lectures and workshops internationally.
s-ito operates across a range of scales and sectors, collaborating with clients ranging from public institutions, charities, to developers, designers and private individuals. Our work and design approach adapts to the clients requirement, whilst providing the highest quality design that delivers spaces that is born out of iterative design development and careful consideration of the context, materials and construction system.
We care about designing spatially beautiful, personal and geometrically interesting spaces to be lived that would fundamentally have positive change in the way our clients inhabit the space. We are focused on supporting and taking the journey with our client, to listen, support and guide through all stages of the design and construction process. This is to ensure we can together design unique spaces to meet every clients lifestyles and priorities.
